Custom Towel Packaging

Packaging starts with handling, display, protection, and presentation requirements, then has to fit the actual folded towel and complete contents.

  • Individual packs and paper bands
  • Gift boxes and custom sets
  • Fit checked with the folded towel

Packaging Formats by Purpose

Handling, identification, product visibility, presentation, and the number of packed items determine the packaging format.

  • Individual packaging
Separates one towel or approved unit for handling, identification, or presentation.
  • Paper bands
Wrap a folded towel while leaving an agreed product area visible.
  • Gift boxes
Present one towel, a towel set, or another approved combination in a planned opening order.
  • Custom packaging sets
Combine bags, wraps, inserts, boxes, or other approved components when one structure is not enough.

The specific structure, material, MOQ, and sampling approach require confirmation for each project.

Package Fit Starts with the Folded Product

A change to the towel, fold, unit count, or added contents changes the internal space and may require a different package structure.

Folded Dimensions, Not Open Size

Open towel dimensions are not enough to determine the package size.

  • Fold: agreed folding steps and product-facing side
  • Size: folded width, height, and thickness
  • Contents: number of towels or other approved items
  • Visibility: logos, labels, borders, or artwork that should remain visible

Finished-product measurement guidance is available on the custom towel sizes page.

Internal Fit and Opening Sequence

A package selected from an image may not provide the right internal space, support, closing pressure, or removal sequence for the actual folded product.

  • Dimensions: internal and external width, height, and depth
  • Opening: loading, closing, opening, and resealing where required
  • Control: inserts, supports, separators, or movement limits
  • Assembly: component order, towel orientation, and removal sequence

If FSC-certified paper is requested, the applicable paper component and supporting documentation need project-specific confirmation; the request does not apply automatically to every packaging component.

Artwork Around the Fold and Opening

Panel artwork can shift out of view when the fold, opening direction, closure, or visible towel area changes.

  • Panels: front, back, sides, top, bottom, or insert
  • Artwork: original vector files and approved images
  • Content: final text, language, product code, and barcode data
  • Color: brand references coordinated across the complete package

Retained label content is covered on the custom towel labels page, while component color references are explained on the custom towel colors page.

Approve the Complete Packed Sample

An empty package cannot demonstrate product movement, closing pressure, opening order, visible artwork, or removal with the approved towel inside.

  • Fit: product count, movement, support, and internal space
  • Handling: loading, closing, opening, display, and removal
  • Presentation: fold direction, visible branding, labels, and artwork
  • Shipping: review presentation packaging separately from the outer shipping pack

Packaging Requirements by Project Type

The package should match how the towel will be received, displayed, or presented.

01

Wholesale and Hospitality

Unit identification, pack count, handling, internal distribution, presentation, and removal before use shape the packaging requirement.

02

Retail Packaging

The visible product area, front panel, artwork, product information, barcode access, opening, and shelf direction need to work together.

03

Gift Sets

The complete set is built around its product combination, fold, opening order, inserts, message, and intended presentation.

Custom Towel Packaging FAQ

WiseTowel supports individual bags or packages, paper bands or wraps, gift boxes, inserts, and custom packaging combinations. Individual packaging can separate one towel or unit, paper bands can present part of a folded towel, gift boxes can organize one towel or a set, and custom combinations can connect bags, wraps, inserts, boxes, labels, and other approved components. The appropriate option depends on handling, identification, retail display, hospitality presentation, gifting, and protection requirements.
The towel material, GSM, finished dimensions, folding sequence, labels, branding, and number of items per package determine the folded width, height, thickness, and required internal space. Open towel dimensions alone are not enough. Approving the towel and fold first helps avoid packaging that is too tight, too loose, or visually unbalanced.
Provide the towel specification or approved sample, fold sequence, folded dimensions, items per package, packaging purpose, preferred structure and material, internal and external dimensions, opening and assembly requirements, artwork, labels, barcode or SKU data, display conditions, protection targets, quantity, testing, documentation, and schedule requirements.
Yes, when the package is designed around the approved towel set, fold, unit count, component positions, and viewing direction. Identify every towel or item in the package, the loading and opening sequence, and which logo, label, hang tag, artwork panel, or product area must remain visible. The arrangement should be checked on the complete physical sample.
The packaging sample is reviewed empty, loaded, closed, opened, displayed, and prepared for the agreed outer pack. Approval should cover the correct towel and fold, unit count, materials, structure, internal fit, dimensions, opening, assembly, artwork, labels, data, presentation, and agreed protection requirements. Sample development normally takes 7–9 days after the towel, fold, packaging structure, and artwork are confirmed.
No. Presentation packaging does not automatically provide complete transport protection. The internal supports, retail or gift package, outer shipping pack, handling conditions, route risks, and required tests must be considered together. A package should not be described as waterproof, crush-proof, drop-proof, or damage-free without a defined construction and supporting test.
