Custom Towel Labels
A coordinated label set separates permanent brand and care information from removable retail, gift, barcode, or campaign content.
- Woven, printed, and care labels
- Hang tags and private-label sets
- Placement checked on the finished towel
Label Types by Information Role
The first distinction is whether the information should remain attached to the towel or be removed before use.
- Woven labels: woven logos, brand names, or concise product identity
- Printed labels: printed branding, product details, or longer text
- Care labels: buyer-approved material, care, origin, and product information
- Hang tags: removable retail, gift, barcode, or campaign content
- Leather or silicone patches: alternative branding where project compatibility and availability are confirmed
The Label Set as Part of the Towel
Content, form, measured position, attachment, and artwork all affect how a label reads and feels on the finished product.
Permanent and Removable Information
Permanent brand, product, and care details belong on an attached label, while retail or campaign information can remain on a removable hang tag.
- Brand: logo, brand name, or collection name
- Product: towel name, material, or buyer product code
- Care: approved wording, symbols, language, and origin information
- Retail: barcode, website, gift message, or campaign details
Label Size and Form
The finished form should fit the content and feel appropriate on the selected towel.
- Type: woven, printed, care label, tag, or suitable patch
- Size: finished width and height based on actual content
- Form: flat, folded, or another approved construction
- Sides: front only or coordinated front-and-back content
Measured Position and Attachment
A general instruction such as “near the corner” can shift between samples and production. A fixed edge and measured distance provide a reproducible position.
- Location: named edge, seam, corner, border, or center line
- Measurement: distance from a fixed towel edge
- Direction: readable when folded, hung, or packaged
- Contact: clearance from hems, artwork, and main contact areas
Finished-dimension guidance is available on the custom towel sizes page.
Final Artwork, Text, and Data
Production artwork needs final content at the actual label size and reading orientation; placeholder wording or untested data can make an otherwise approved layout unusable.
- Logo: original vector artwork when available
- Text: final approved wording, symbols, and languages
- Layout: actual size, orientation, and reading direction
- Data: final barcode or other machine-readable information
Label color references are covered on the custom towel colors page. Barcode and other machine-readable data must be validated by the buyer in the intended system.
Labels on the Finished Towel
A label that looks correct in an artwork file can still be difficult to read, uncomfortable in contact, hidden by a fold, or awkward to remove.
Readability
Actual-size text, logos, symbols, and color contrast determine readability. Machine-readable data remains subject to the buyer’s required validation method.
Placement and Contact
The complete towel shows the measured position, reading direction, attachment, feel, and any skin or hand contact in context.
Fold and Presentation
The intended fold and custom packaging determine label visibility, hang-tag direction, and whether removable components can be taken off cleanly.
