Custom Jacquard Towels

Logos, borders, tonal relief, and repeat patterns become part of the towel’s woven structure rather than a separate surface decoration.

  • Jacquard woven logos and patterns
  • Embossed jacquard
  • Logo or custom dobby borders

Three Woven Design Methods

The method changes whether the design appears as a woven motif, tonal relief, or a defined band at the towel edge.

  • Jacquard weaving — logos, borders, or repeat patterns
  • Embossed jacquard — tonal raised or recessed designs
  • Logo or custom dobby border — text or motifs in a woven band
  • embroidery or printing — for different artwork effects

Artwork That Can Be Woven

The design must work with the towel structure, pattern scale, and relevant viewing side.

Why Woven Artwork Needs Simplification

Weaving translates artwork into the towel structure, so boundaries, spacing, and scale must remain readable through yarn and pile. Original vector artwork provides the clearest source when available.

  • Logos, wordmarks, symbols, borders, or repeats
  • Small text and fine lines may need simplification
  • Gradients and photographs may suit printing
  • Small stitched marks may suit embroidery

Minimum readable detail cannot be defined by one text size, line width, color count, or pattern dimension for every construction. Use the woven sample for final approval.

Pattern Scale and Repeat

Measurable dimensions and direction prevent a motif, border, or repeat from changing proportion when it is placed on the finished towel.

  • Single placement, border, repeat, or tonal relief
  • Finished pattern width × height
  • Position and edge relationship
  • Repeat direction and spacing

Finished-dimension guidance is available on the custom towel sizes page.

Viewing Side and Reading Direction

A jacquard towel may not show the same design, direction, or color relationship on both sides.

  • Main display side
  • Reverse side when relevant
  • Logo or text reading direction
  • Folded, hung, stacked, or flat presentation

Woven Color Relationships

Material, yarn, surface, structure, and viewing side affect the final appearance.

  • Towel body and design color references
  • Tonal relief or stronger contrast
  • Appearance on every relevant side
  • Approval on the actual woven sample

Component-level color references are explained on the custom towel colors page.

Towel Construction Shapes the Pattern

Material, GSM, surface, finished size, and artwork determine how the woven design appears and feels.

01

Towel Base

Material, GSM, and surface influence relief definition, contrast, loop appearance, and contact feel. Construction options are described on the materials page.

02

Pattern and Presentation

The woven layout is evaluated at its finished scale, including the repeat, border relationship, viewing side, reading direction, and intended fold.

03

Woven Sample Approval

Final approval records the artwork and layout versions, jacquard method, pattern scale and repeat, viewing side, color relationship, relief definition, feel, and any agreed washing requirement. The next stages are shown in the production process.

Custom Jacquard Towels FAQ

WiseTowel offers jacquard weaving for logos and patterns woven into the towel structure, embossed jacquard for tonal raised or recessed designs, and logo or custom dobby borders for text and patterns within a defined border. The appropriate option depends on the artwork, pattern scale, placement, colors, material, GSM, dimensions, and required viewing side.
Jacquard makes the logo or pattern part of the woven towel structure. Embroidery adds stitched thread to the towel surface, while printing applies artwork through a compatible printing method. Jacquard suits woven logos, borders, repeats, and structural patterns; embroidery suits compact surface marks; printing is generally more suitable for gradients, photographs, and print-led artwork.
For a jacquard review, provide vector artwork when available; otherwise use the clearest original source rather than a screenshot. Include the current artwork version, design type, finished pattern dimensions, measured placement or repeat layout, reading direction, color-area map, relevant viewing sides, edge or cropping requirements, and any brand elements that must not be changed.
Not always. There is no reliable universal minimum text size, line width, pattern size, or color count for every jacquard towel. The result depends on the artwork, weave, material, GSM, color areas, and finished scale. Fine details may need to be enlarged or simplified, while gradients and photographs may be better suited to printing.
Not necessarily. The design direction, color relationship, and reverse-side appearance depend on the selected jacquard construction. Identify the main display side and any reverse side that requires approval, define how logos or words should read, and check every relevant side on the physical sample.
The woven sample is used to approve the artwork version, jacquard method, pattern clarity, dimensions, placement, repeat, viewing sides, colors, contrast, embossed definition where applicable, material, GSM, finished towel size, and folded appearance. Sample development normally takes 7–9 days after the product specification and jacquard method are confirmed. Washing, shrinkage, or color-fastness performance requires separately agreed testing and acceptance criteria.
